Unexpected Guests?

Don’t panic – get a Janik©

YOU WILL NEED:
• One Janik kielbasa
• One 16 Oz. can of sauerkraut
• One duarter pound lightly salted butter
• One Onion
• Salt and pepper

SERVES: 4

TOTAL TIME, PREP TO TABLE: approximately minutes

Bake a Janik kielbasa in a 350˚oven at for 2O minutes. Chop onion and put in skillet with butter (chopped into pats or chunks) and start cooking on medium heat until onion is golden brown. Drain and rinse sauerkraut and mix in with onions and butter and thoroughly heat, about 5 minutes. Remove kielbasa from oven, cut into slices or small chunks and serve with sauerkraut. Season to taste.

YOU WILL NEED:
* Large Janik kielbasa or two packs of J. Juniors
• Horseradish
• Ketchup
• Hot Sauce
• Boston or other lettuce
• Mini-rye rounds or crackers (optional)

SERVES: 8-10

TOTAL TIME, PREP To TABLE: approximately 45 minutes

Make this party favorite in a flash! Bake the kielbasa in a 350˚oven for 20-25 minutes until well cooked; bake J. Juniors for about 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for 5-1O minutes, then slice diagonally. For dip, combine equal parts of horseradish and ketchup, then add a few drops of hot sauce. Serve on a bed of greens and add toothpicks, enjoy with your favorite bread or crackers if you like!


Sunday dinner at your house?

YOU WILL NEED:
• Two Janik kielbasas
• 8 medium potatoes
• 8 carrots
• Two large cabbages, quartered
• One Onion

SERVES: 8

TOTAL TIME, PREP TO TABLE: approximately 60 minutes

Put onion in a large pot; cut the kielbasa into chunks and cover with water, cook on high heat for 15 minutes, then remove kielbasa from the water, but reserve the water to cook the vegetables. Place cleaned potatoes, sliced carrots, and quartered cabbage into the kielbasa broth, then cook for 2O minutes. Add the kielbasa chunks back into the broth for the last five minutes of cooking time, serve hot.

• One package of J. Juniors or patties
• One dozen eggs
• One green pepper
• Sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
• Onion
• Garlic powder
• Sun-dried tomato seasoning
• Salt and pepper

SERVES: 4-6

TOTAL TIME, PREP TO TABLE: approximately 15 minutes

Slice Juniors or patties and microwave for 2-3 minutes (add a few drops of water. Combine all other ingredients to make an omelet or scrambled eggs on stovetop. When eggs are finished cooking, serve with J. Juniors either mixed in with eggs or on the side. Serve with buttered toast or toasted English muffins, add fresh fruit to garnish or as a side dish; enjoy with juice and coffee. While great for a morning meal, this is good anytime, even for a light supper.


Midnight snack attack?

YOU WILL NEED:
• One package of English muffins
• One package of J. Juniors
• Tomato sauce
• Olive Oil
• Cheddar cheese, sliced (or any hard cheese you prefer)

SERVES: 1-6

TOTAL TIME, PREP TO TABLE: approximately 15 minutes

Split and toast English muffins, then spread muffins with small amount of olive oil. Top with tomato sauce. Microwave J. Juniors (with water) for three minutes. Remove, cool, then place on top of muffins. Top with cheese slices. Place on top rack in the oven for three-five minutes or until cheese is melted.

YOU WILL NEED:
• One package of J. Juniors
• Two medium sized zucchini
• One tomato
• One onion
• One green pepper
• Bread crumbs, plain or seasoned
• Olive oil
• Rosemary, curry powder, salt and pepper
• Your favorite rice or pasta

SERVES: 4-6

TOTAL TIME, PREP TO TABLE: approximately 25 minutes

In a large skillet, heat olive oil; cut J. Junior into wedges, slice onion, pepper, and zucchini a into olive oil and heat thoroughly – about 10 minutes at medium heat. Then add tomato (diced) seasonings, finish cooking for another five minutes, remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes. Mix in bread crumbs, then serve as is or over a bed of rice or mix in your favorite pasta for a quick, hearty meal.
